Launch of the SHIFT-MED Sustainability Committee
We are pleased to announce that the SHIFT-MED WP2 Sustainability Committee has officially launched its Capacity Building activities!
As part of Task 2.2 – Governance Workshops and Leadership Training, this milestone marks a key step towards strengthening institutional capacity for green governance and sustainability in higher education.
Building on the established Terms of Reference (ToR) and the Initial Action Plan, Sustainability Committees across partner universities are now engaging in structured training activities to enhance their competencies in:
Sustainability leadership
Strategic environmental planning
Stakeholder engagement
Resource and energy management
These efforts will support the development and implementation of Institutional Sustainability Strategies, while enabling universities to take concrete actions such as carbon footprint reduction, energy efficiency, and sustainable campus management
Through collaboration, training, and innovation, SHIFT-MED continues to empower universities to become key drivers of the green and digital transition across the Mediterranean region.
